Uploading Documents
Why do I need to upload documents?
Supporting documents strengthen your NIL Go submission by providing evidence that your deal has a valid business purpose and meets compliance requirements. Depending on your deal type and constraints profile, certain document types may be required or recommended.
FieldPass versions every upload — each packet you generate points to a known, hashed set of files. This means resubmissions are traceable and diffs are clean.
What documents should I upload?
| Document type | When needed |
|---|---|
| Campaign brief | Recommended for social promotion deals; describes the campaign objectives, brand guidelines, and content requirements |
| Contract / draft agreement | Upload the signed or unsigned contract from the brand; NIL Go accepts unsigned drafts at submission time |
| W-9 | May be required depending on your institution's constraints profile |
| Invoice | Supporting evidence of compensation terms |
| Prior work samples / screenshots | Optional supporting evidence if requested by a reviewer |
The policy check will indicate which document types are required or optional for your specific deal.
What file types are accepted?
PDF files are recommended and will be embedded directly in the packet. Non-PDF files (e.g., images, Word documents) are referenced in the packet manifest but not embedded inline.
How does FieldPass verify my uploads?
Every uploaded file is stored with a SHA-256 hash for integrity verification. If a file is modified after upload, the hash will no longer match, and the discrepancy will be flagged. This protects the integrity of your audit trail.
I hit my 3-upload limit per deal. What do I do?
Free accounts are limited to 3 uploads per deal. To upload more supporting documents, upgrade to a Pro plan. See Free vs. Pro Plans.
ORG_ADMIN accounts have no upload limits.
Can I replace a document I already uploaded?
Each upload creates a new versioned document record. Uploading a revised file does not overwrite the previous version — both are stored. When you regenerate a packet, it will use the most recent version of each document.
Where are my uploaded files stored?
Files are stored securely on the FieldPass platform and are only accessible through authenticated routes. There are no public URLs to your documents or packets. Only the creator of a deal and ORG_ADMIN users can access associated files.
