Using FieldPass Clear

Creating a Deal

What information do I need before I start?

Gather the following before creating a deal in FieldPass. Having everything ready prevents incomplete submissions that will be blocked by the policy check.

Athlete information

  • Legal name (as it appears on official documents)
  • School name
  • Sport
  • Email address

Counterparty (brand/payor) information

  • Legal entity name (not a trade name — use the registered legal name)
  • Contact name and email
  • Signatory name and title (the person who signs the contract)

Deal details

  • Deal type (see below)
  • Start date and end date
  • Total compensation amount and currency
  • Compensation type: Cash, In-Kind, or Mixed
  • A plain-language compensation summary (e.g., "$500 for 2 Instagram posts")
  • Deliverables — a structured list of what the athlete will provide

What deal types does FieldPass support?

Deal type Use for
Social Promotion Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube posts promoting a brand
Appearance In-person events, signings, speaking engagements
Autograph / Meet-and-Greet Signing sessions, fan meet-and-greets
Content Licensing Licensing existing or new content (photos, video, likeness) for a brand's use
Other Deals that don't fit the above categories

Social Promotion deals require extra fields

If you select Social Promotion, you must also provide:

  • Platform (e.g., Instagram, TikTok)
  • Post count (total number of posts required)

Without these, the policy check will block packet generation.

What are deliverables and how do I enter them?

Deliverables are the specific obligations the athlete must fulfill. Each deliverable should include:

  • Platform or venue
  • Type (e.g., Post, Story, Appearance, Signed item)
  • Count
  • Due date
  • Disclosure tag (e.g., #ad, #sponsored) — required for sponsored content

Example for a social deal:

Platform: Instagram | Type: Post | Count: 2 | Due by: 2026-04-20 | Disclosure: #ad

Vague deliverables (e.g., "ambassador role" with no specifics) are the most common reason NIL Go rejects deals. FieldPass will flag these in the policy check.

Can I edit a deal after creating it?

Yes. You can update deal details at any time. After making changes, regenerate the packet — FieldPass will version it automatically and show you a diff of what changed from the previous version.

I hit my 3-deal limit. What do I do?

Free accounts are limited to 3 deals. To create more, upgrade to a Pro plan. See Free vs. Pro Plans.

ORG_ADMIN accounts have no deal limits regardless of plan.

Does FieldPass automatically create the NIL agreement?

Yes. FieldPass generates a structured NIL agreement from your deal data using compliance-reviewed templates. The generated agreement includes:

  • Parties and scope of work
  • Consideration (compensation terms)
  • Deal term and termination provisions
  • Deliverables exhibit
  • Compensation exhibit
  • Compliance representations (no pay-for-play, no recruiting inducement)
  • IP/licensing section (for content licensing deals)
  • Signature blocks

You can review the generated agreement in the packet PDF before submitting to NIL Go.
